24" wide 4-blade programmable Rip System consisting of PAUL Model "NCD-99-907.40" Infeed Transfer with: 24" Wide x 16' long 11-roller infeed, automatic 90Ã‚Â° cross-transfer to a 5-chain deck infeed board transfer into the Rip Saw.

-- Automatic Optimizing Ripsaw Infeed System Model AB920 for Paul Shifting Blade Ripsaws: Ripsaw infeed consists of a 9-strand chain conveyor that transports a single board to a set of pre-positioning stops in front of the measuring system. The chain conveyor then drops to a lower position allowing the board to rest upon a servo-driven positioning table. The servo-driven positioning table takes the board underneath the measuring system where the width and geometry of the board is recorded at (16) locations using photocells. This information is then sent to the CNC control of the machine, which calculates a cutting path for the board; servo-drives on the positioning table either straight-line feed the board or feed the board in a skewed position. This positioning system does not use a fence. After the board has been positioned by the table a set of bottom rollers powered by a hydraulic cylinder lifts the board up and presses it against a hydraulicly powered chain. The chain guides the board into the machine thereby ensuring complete control of the board as it is feeding into the ripsaw.
