Check the machine's production capacity, wear parts, kiln firing history, maintenance records, electrical panels, and presence of spare parts. Inspect seals, bearings, conveyor systems and control systems for upgrades or corrosion.

Ask for recent thermal imaging, firing logs, element and brick replacements, and photos of the kiln interior and burners. Request a short trial run or video of a firing cycle if possible.

Kilns and presses are heavy and fragile—require crating, skids, or custom frames. Disassemble large items, secure ceramic-lined parts, protect control cabinets, and use carriers experienced with industrial machinery and oversized loads.

Replace worn seals, bearings and refractory where needed. Service motors, drives and control systems, check lubrication points, calibrate metering and dosing systems, and perform a full kiln tune-up before production.

Request wiring diagrams, PLC programs, maintenance logs, parts lists, spare parts vendors and operator manuals. Arrange for technical support or an on-site technician for commissioning if you’re integrating the equipment into an existing line.
