Overview

Feedback devices are sensors and transducers—encoders, resolvers, tachometers and position sensors—used on crawler loaders and heavy equipment to provide real-time data on position, speed and direction. They enable precise control of hydraulics, drive systems and automation, and support diagnostics and safety functions. Buyers choose based on resolution, environmental rating (IP), electrical interface (analog, digital, CAN), mounting, shaft size and compatibility with the machine’s controller.

FAQ

How do I ensure a feedback device is compatible with my crawler loader?

Match electrical interface (voltage, signal type, CAN), mechanical mounting, shaft diameter, resolution and connector pinout to your controller. Provide the OEM part number or controller specs to the seller and ask for a datasheet.

What should I check when buying a used feedback device?

Inspect for shaft play, corrosion, water ingress, damaged connectors and seals. Request recent test reports, output waveform checks and serial numbers. Verify calibration history and spare-part availability.

How should feedback devices be shipped to avoid damage?

Pack with shaft caps, anti-static wrap, desiccant and vibration-damping material inside a sturdy crate. Label fragile, insure the shipment and include a parts list and datasheet for customs if shipping internationally.
