Laser internal carving works by using a laser of a specific wavelength. First, the laser is directed into glass or crystal. For the laser to carve, its energy density must surpass a critical threshold. The energy density is related to the laser spot size; a smaller spot means higher density.
Through precise focusing, the laser's energy density remains below the destruction threshold before entering the target area but exceeds it in the desired carving zone. When the laser pulse hits, its energy rapidly heats the crystal, causing an instant burst that forms tiny white spots. These spots outline the preset 2D or 3D shape within the material. Meanwhile, the rest of the glass or crystal stays intact. In summary, it's a process of controlled energy release inside the material to create detailed patterns without damaging the overall structure.
