The table consists of two massive steel plates, probably cast iron plates. On the lower table 8 cooling elements are mounted which protrude into the ribs of the upper table. The upper table is covered with stainless steel sheet. The cooling is probably done by nitrogen.
The table was probably used for joining and shrinking, e.g. gearbox assembly.
