Sharp 13″ x 40″ Precision Lathe with Digital Variable Speed Control, 1340VS

The model 1340VS is equipped with a variable speed inverter drive and a digital display of spindle speeds. The change of speed is simply done by turning the dial, and the number of speeds is infinitely variable. To maintain high torque at a lower speed range, the headstock is equipped with a 2-step gear change lever. The front panel of the headstock has a jog button for easy engagement of gears
Another new function is the push/pull knob mounted at the front of the apron. This knob controls the feed direction of the carriage; it greatly enhances the ease of operation of the machine. The spindle is made out of forged steel, induction hardened and precision ground for high accuracy and durability. It is mounted on two high-precision tapered roller bearings, offering maximum stability even at 2,000 RPM. The machine can run on single phase or three phase electricity
