Inspect the hull for cracks or repairs, check engine hours and service records, test electronics (GPS, fishfinder), inspect the propeller and lower unit, and verify trailer condition and title paperwork.

Use a transport company experienced with boats. Secure the boat to a trailer or cradle, drain fluids if required, protect electronics and seats, verify insurance and permits, and confirm customs/registration rules for international moves.

Follow engine service intervals, flush and winterize cooling systems, inspect and grease steering and controls, clean and protect electronics, check bilge pumps and battery condition, and inspect hull and anodes for corrosion.
